Problem Statement (Abstract)

MAYAChain is a friendly fork of THORChain. Similarly, it does not rely on pegging or wrapping assets, instead managing funds directly in on-chain vaults and safeguarding them through economic security. This is achieved using the Tendermint consensus engine, Cosmos-SDK state machine, and GG20 Threshold Signature Scheme (TSS).

The addition of Maya Protocol will bring Shapeshift users more ways of obtaining yield on their assets, more assets to swap to, and can serve as a back-up for Bitcoin and Ethereum swaps in case THORChain is halted.

There is also an opportunity to acquire users of ecosystems of chains that are integrated or will be integrated by Maya (e.g. Dash, Kujira, Arbitrum, Cardano).

Goals

1. Make Shapeshift one of the main hubs for interacting with Maya Protocol (Swapping, LP’ing, Earning).
2. Attract new Shapeshift users with the addition of several new blockchains.

Objectives:

1. Add support for MAYAChain, Dash & Kujira in Unchained
2. Add support for MAYAChain, Dash & Kujira to KeepKey and ShapeShift wallet
3. Add “base-cosmos” support for MAYAChain and Kujira to the ShapeShift app, including send, receive, (add account with the ShapeShift DAO validator for Kujira?)
4. Add support for Maya Protocol in the ShapeShift API
5. Add support for swapping, LP’ing and Savers for Maya Protocol
